About the Role
As a Pathology Collector at St Vincent's Hospital Melbourne, you will be accountable for collecting, caring, storing, packaging, and labelling pathology specimens. You will provide a high-quality pathology service to requesting doctors and patients, greeting patients in a friendly and courteous manner, and interviewing patients to ascertain key information for identification purposes.
Key Responsibilities
- Collecting and processing pathology specimens
- Providing excellent customer service to patients and doctors
- Ensuring accurate and timely specimen collection and processing
- Collaborating with healthcare teams to ensure seamless patient care
Requirements
- Certificate 3 or 4 in Pathology Collection
- Experience in a pathology collection service is highly desirable
- Highly developed customer service and communication skills
