Job Title: Hospitality Trainee

This is a fantastic opportunity for individuals looking to gain and further the essential skills and knowledge to excel in the hospitality industry.

We are seeking applications for a part-time Hospitality Trainee to work with our valued Host Employer in Whyalla. As part of this opportunity, you'll complete a Certificate III in Hospitality, gaining practical skills to work confidently in both bar service and kitchen operations.

The successful applicant will be required to:

  • Greet and serve customers, take food and beverage orders, and provide great dining experiences.
  • Assist with meal and drink service, table setting, and general front-of-house duties.
  • Prepare espresso coffee and serve both non-alcoholic and alcoholic beverages (RSA required).
  • Maintain clean, safe, and hygienic workspaces in line with food safety standards.
  • Operate point-of-sale (POS) systems, handle payments, and manage transactions accurately.
  • Work collaboratively with a small team in a busy hospitality setting.

You'll also have the opportunity to:

  • Gain hands-on experience in a local club, commercial kitchen & function space while studying toward a nationally recognised qualification.
  • Undertake additional responsibilities such as managing events and coordinating functions.

  • A valid driver's licence and reliable vehicle.
  • Great people skills and love being part of a team.
  • The ability to juggle multiple tasks and stay cool under pressure.
  • Willingness to commit to a 12-18 month traineeship.
