We are seeking a highly motivated and dedicated Allied Health Assistant to join our team at Plena Healthcare. As an Allied Health Assistant, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality clinical services to our clients in Residential Aged Care settings.
Key Responsibilities- Assist in delivering physiotherapy services in accordance with Plena Healthcare's operating procedures and policies.
- Service RAC clients in accordance with the Allied Health Professionals treatment plan.
- Transport residents to and from the therapy gym area/appointments under the direction of physiotherapists/occupational therapists.
- Set up and pack away the physiotherapy gym, including cleaning both the area and equipment.
- Collect referrals and perform other administrative tasks as guided by physiotherapists.
- Order prescribed equipment.
- Run exercise groups/programs.
- Support initiatives to meet client/contract expectations.
- Consult with physiotherapists/occupational therapists regarding adaptations/changes/progressions of treatment plans for clients as appropriate.
- Participate in mentoring, supervision, and appraisals in line with Plena Healthcare's policy and procedure.
- Minimum Cert III Allied Health Assistant or equivalent.
- Australian working rights.
- Willingness to obtain NDIS workers screening and National Police Check.
- Healthcare knowledge.
- Ability to independently deliver treatment plans.
- Time management and accountability.
- Clinical knowledge.
- Communication skills.
- Driver's Licence and reliable car.
