Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and Implement Communication Strategies: Collaborate with our Senior External Communication Specialist to develop effective communication strategies for our key brands and issues related to policies, and coordinate their successful implementation through collaborative teamwork and maximise use of outsourced resources.
  • Liaise with Global Teams: Liaise with Global Corporate Affairs and Media Relations team for international programs when needed, and leverage global position and message.
  • Manage External Stakeholder Engagement: Support management of inquiries from media and external stakeholders (aligned with BU) and respond in an appropriate manner.
  • Internal Alignment and Collaboration: Ensure internal alignment and effective collaboration across a number of functions, including Marketing, Medical, Health & Value, Regulatory Affairs.
Collaboration with Policy Team
  • Monitor Government Policy Direction: Proactively monitor government's healthcare policy direction and keep relevant members informed of policy changes, and contribute to the discussions on its implications on the business.
  • Risk and Opportunity Identification: Identify risks or opportunities from policy environmental changes and support the development of plans to mitigate or capitalise on them.
  • Strategic Relationships: Support Director, Policy & Public Affairs by contributing to development of strategic relationships with key stakeholders for environment-shaping and outreach plans, and to enhance patient access.
  • Leadership Role in Trade Associations: Ensure that Pfizer plays a leadership role in key trade and business associations operating in Korea, and that advocacy positions and activities are aligned with Pfizer positions.
Requirements
  • University Graduate: University Graduate in a relevant discipline (e.g. Communications, Public Relations, Economics, Politics, or Law). Masters degree a plus.
  • Knowledge of Healthcare Environment: Good knowledge of healthcare (or biotech) environment; or related stakeholders (e.g. Govt officials, National Assembly preferred).
  • Experience in Communications: 3 to 5 years of experience and demonstrated skills in developing, managing and delivering communications strategies & plans in a large, complex organisation.
  • Media Relations Experience: Demonstrated skills in issues management, and experience in media relations.
  • Language Skills: Fluent spoken and written English and Korean.
  • Business Acumen: Able to align and integrate communications strategy with business strategy.
  • Strategic Thinking: Ability to research, develop, deliver and measure communication strategies and plans.
  • Political Acuity: Ability to assimilate strategic information and simplify it into clear, concise messages that stakeholders can understand.
  • Strong Relationship-Building Skills: Strong ability to influence and collaborate with cross-functional team.
  • Excellent Communication Skills: Strong relationship-building skills, and ability to interact with confidence with various levels and functions.
