Principal Security Professional

This role plays a vital part in ensuring the safety and security of our clients' premises.
- Main Responsibilities:
- Manage vehicle movement, access control, and visitor passes.
- Check emails, administration, and required reporting.
- Confirm all personnel issued with a security access card have completed relevant induction and provided approved access level.
- Identify and report security risks to client contact and client services manager.
- Perform internal and external foot patrols.
- Issue permanent and temporary staff security access cards, contractor, and visitor passes.
- Monitor WHS, CCTV surveillance, and respond to site alarms.
- Provide daily communications diary, event logs, incident reports, breaches, foot patrol reports, readings, alarms, and checks.
- Ensure perimeter security by preventing unauthorized access to the site or vulnerabilities to physical and electronic security integrity.
- Respond to alarms generated by access systems, fire systems, building management control systems, CCTV systems, and issues raised by staff or contractors.
- Surveillance and monitoring of entry gates, Screening Area, Site buildings, and grounds via CCTV, access control system, and visitor management system process.
- Traffic control – pedestrian and vehicle gates, intercoms, parking areas.
- Current QLD Security Licence (Unarmed Guard, Crowd Control, and Monitoring)
- Current First Aid Certificate (CPR)
- Current Drivers Licence
- Availability to work afternoon and night shifts, including weekends and public holidays
- Ability to liaise with high-profile clientele and people at all levels
- Minimum 1 year demonstrated experience in a similar role
- Autonomous – working with minimal supervision
- Excellent communication skills – written and verbal
- Organized – outcome and deadline oriented
- Attention to detail – demonstrated accuracy
- Initiative – motivated, positive, and self-starter attitude
- Problem-solving ability – conflict resolution
