Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Engineering Manager to lead our team of mechanical and civil engineers in Sydney. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing and mentoring the team, reviewing and standardizing engineering processes, and ensuring compliance with legislative requirements and standards.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Manage and lead a team of 4 young talented mechanical and civil engineers.
  2. Review and standardize engineering processes across the business.
  3. Manage external consultants and suppliers.
  4. Deliver drafting services.
  5. Maintain relationships with Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs).
  6. Manage and monitor design to ensure it is on budget and meets tender and contract price.
  7. Ensure on-time targets are met for each project.
  8. Liaise and develop client relationships.
  9. Project manage multiple projects from inception to practical completion.
  10. Update and report to Project Managers and state managers on project status and variations.
  11. Facilitate negotiations between consultants and suppliers with the Procurement Manager.
  12. Identify new innovations and opportunities for the company.
Requirements

The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in engineering (Mechanical/Civil), CAD experience, and a supportive team mentality. Experience working in construction, civil, or mechanical fields is essential.
