About the Role

We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic individual to join our Sydney Water team as an Electrical Apprentice. Based in Western Sydney, you will be working for the West Region Delivery Team, closely collaborating with qualified and experienced tradespeople, supervisors, and other apprentices.

As an Electrical Apprentice, you will gain valuable skills and knowledge to secure your trade qualification. You will learn how to install, maintain, repair, and test various equipment and machinery for industrial purposes, with exposure to both workshop and client site environments.

During the four-year apprenticeship, you will receive hands-on, on-the-job training and attend TAFE to learn the trade. We will invest in your development, providing opportunities for career growth and potential leadership roles, such as a supervisor or manager.

Key Responsibilities

  • Install, maintain, repair, and test equipment and machinery for industrial purposes
  • Work in a workshop environment and client sites
  • Collaborate with qualified tradespeople, supervisors, and other apprentices

Requirements

  • Motivation to succeed and a willingness to learn
  • Values teamwork and has a positive attitude to working in a safe and productive manner
  • Ability to follow direction with excellent attention to detail
  • Ability to listen and understand customer and company requirements
  • Commitment to building a long-term career
  • Completion of Year 10 or equivalent
  • A current driver's license is preferred but not essential
  • Completion of a relevant pre-apprenticeship course is advantageous but not essential
