About the Role

AFL Recruitment is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Construction Lawyer to join our client's in-house legal team. As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for providing expert legal advice on construction law, property law, and commercial transactions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide legal advice on construction law, including front-end advisory and transactional work.
  • Assist with litigation and dispute resolution, including construction, consumer, planning, and commercial contractual disputes.
  • Provide advice on non-conveyancing property law, including leases, put/call options, property development, and due diligence advice.
  • Assist with commercial transactions and contract drafting and negotiation.
  • Provide advice on regulatory and compliance issues, including construction, corporate governance, insurance, health and safety, and HR/employment issues.

Requirements
  • Admitted lawyer with a minimum of 2 years' post-admission experience.

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with Microsoft Office competency and typing speed.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced and deadline-driven environment.
  • Flexibility and willingness to engage in both high-end legal work and administration support.
