About the Opportunity

We are seeking a skilled Statutory Land Planner to join our team at CPB Contractors Pty Limited. As a key member of our project team, you will be responsible for liaising with stakeholders, including the Department of Transport and Planning, Local Councils, and the EPA, to ensure compliance with environmental management frameworks and planning regulations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Monitor and ensure compliance with environmental management frameworks, performance requirements, and conditions associated with secondary approvals.
  • Assist with the coordination and preparation of draft planning approval documents during project delivery.
  • Provide planning and approvals advice to project teams regarding planning issues and challenging delivery matters.
  • Assess land for the project and identify associated planning or approvals risks.
  • Work with the Environmental Team to coordinate compliance documentation.
  • Assist with coordinating impact assessments for project areas, including ecology, flora and fauna, post-contact/built heritage, and cultural heritage.
  • Work with the digital engineering team to prepare GIS mapping of project areas, project values, and PSA areas.
Requirements
  • Experience in coordinating and preparing project approvals for infrastructure projects in Victoria (preferred) or local planning level.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of the planning process and planning legislation in Victoria.
  • Strong stakeholder management skills.
  • A tertiary qualification in planning or environmental planning (preferred but not essential).
