Metal Component Specialist

As a skilled Metal Fabricator, you will be responsible for producing high-quality metal components and assemblies. This involves reading and interpreting engineering blueprints to determine the required materials and techniques.
Using hand tools, flame cutting torches, and metal cutting machines, you will accurately cut marked-out metal sections and shapes. You will also shape and bend metal sections and pipes using hand and machine tools, as well as heat treatment and hammering methods.
Additional tasks include aligning parts for joining, examining welds for quality, and finishing products through cleaning, polishing, filing, and acid-based treatments. Your work will involve setting up metalwork machinery, fabricating components, performing quality checks, and adhering to workplace safety regulations.
Required Skills and Qualifications- At least 2 years of full-time work experience in a similar role.
- Relevant trade qualification or equivalent.
- Ticketed welders or those with relevant experience are welcome to apply.
- Proficiency in MIG and TIG welding on materials under 8mm.
- High level of material finishing expertise.
- Ability to adhere to company health and safety standards.
This is a full-time position working an 8-hour shift. Commuting to Salisbury, QLD 4107 is required. Australian Work Authorisation is preferred.
