Job Description

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced leader to join our team as a Service Deli Assistant Manager. As a key member of our management team, you will be responsible for the day-to-day running of the stores service deli, ensuring the smooth operation of the department and its team.

Reporting directly to the Service Deli Manager, this role involves assisting with managing and coaching the team, completing production, actioning orders, generating rosters and more.

As a part of an enthusiastic team, in a highly competitive supermarket environment, applicants will be expected to demonstrate:

  • A strong understanding of fresh food retail knowledge is desired but not essential
  • Ability to supervise a team effectively
  • Understanding of ordering, cost control and gross profit analysis
  • Accurate team member rostering skills
  • Passion and enthusiasm for providing excellent customer service
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to liaise with both team members and management
  • A flair for merchandising and visual presentation
  • Commitment to work health and safety standards
