Leading Rates & Accounts Professional
Overview

A highly motivated and experienced Rates & Accounts professional is required to lead the Rates, Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable functions within the Finance Service Unit.

This key role will oversee all aspects of rates and accounts management, ensuring compliance with relevant legislation, efficiency in operations and exceptional service delivery to stakeholders. Key responsibilities include:

• Developing and implementing effective strategies for rates and accounts management.
• Leading a high-performing team culture that fosters collaboration, innovation and continuous improvement.
• Driving business improvement initiatives to enhance financial performance and operational efficiency.
• Providing expert advice to senior leaders on matters related to rates and accounts.

The successful candidate will possess a tertiary qualification in business or a related discipline and proven leadership experience in a similar role within a large, complex organisation. Strong knowledge of financial legislation, systems and risk management is essential. Additionally, advanced communication, people management and problem-solving skills are required.
