The airport is investing heavily in new infrastructure to support its airline partners' expansion plans, offering more services to new destinations and improving customer experience.

Over the coming decade, Perth Airport will undergo major transformations, including the expansion of T1 International and the development of new domestic terminal facilities, a parallel runway, multi-storey carparks, and an airport hotel.

The airport estate spans over 2100 hectares, housing a $1.5 billion portfolio of existing industrial premises and significant vacant land holdings.

We service a diverse community, playing a vital role in strengthening cultural, family, and social bonds while supporting business, tourism, and leisure travel.

Our team is currently seeking an experienced Senior Advisor – EIA and Approvals to shape the environmental and planning outcomes for Perth Airport's development projects.

As the Senior Advisor – EIA and Approvals, you will lead the preparation and delivery of environmental impact assessments, management plans, and statutory approvals in line with Commonwealth and State legislation.

You will coordinate technical inputs, engage with regulators and consultants, and ensure compliance with environmental and heritage obligations.

Your day-to-day tasks will involve scoping and managing approval pathways, contributing to master planning, and providing strategic advice to internal stakeholders.

Building strong relationships with government agencies, community groups, and project teams will be crucial to your success.

This role offers the opportunity to influence sustainable development outcomes while working in a dynamic and high-profile infrastructure environment.

To succeed in this position, you will need:

  • A tertiary qualification in Environmental Science, Ecology, Biological Sciences or a related discipline
  • A minimum of 10 years' experience delivering environmental impact assessments, statutory approvals, and compliance documentation across complex infrastructure projects
  • Demonstrated expertise in navigating Commonwealth and State environmental legislation, including the EPBC Act and Airports Act 1996
  • Proven ability to lead the preparation of high-quality environmental documentation, including management plans and technical reports, within tight timeframes
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate effectively with regulators, consultants, community stakeholders and internal teams
  • Experience managing multidisciplinary inputs and coordinating technical assessments to support major development proposals
  • A proactive and organised approach to managing competing priorities and delivering outcomes aligned with strategic objectives
