Colorectal Research Expert

The Research Fellow will contribute to the development of research concepts and conduct clinical studies relevant to clinical practice. The role involves developing new research goals, assisting in surgical lists, participating in training programs, and supervising junior medical staff with an interest in research.
Key Responsibilities:- Develop new research goals and ideas in conjunction with supervisors and the conduct of ongoing research projects
- Surgical assistance for 3-4 lists per week on a rostered basis
- Training in anorectal physiology and anorectal ultrasound as part of the pelvic floor clinic
- Sharing of clinical duties with the Training Colorectal Surgical Society of Australia and New Zealand Clinical Fellow
- Conduct and organisation of junior medical staff training in basic surgical skills, laparoscopy, and endoscopy
- Be suitable for or have current medical registration in Australia
- Hold a FRACS or equivalent qualification
- Have an interest in colorectal surgery training
- Be keen to undertake a research project with the unit
