Ramp service agents and baggage handlers play a crucial role in airport operations, working behind the scenes to ensure everything runs smoothly.
This role offers a unique opportunity to work directly on the airport tarmac, performing tasks such as sorting, loading, and unloading baggage and cargo, providing cabin cleaning services, and assisting with aircraft pushback.
Employees will work in a safety-focused environment with a variable schedule aligned with airline timetables, including early mornings, late shifts, and weekends.
Your Activities- Loading and unloading aircraft baggage efficiently
- Safely transferring luggage to and from aircraft
- Handling baggage weighing up to 35kg repeatedly
- Operating in various weather conditions and confined spaces
- Collaborating with team members to maintain smooth operations
- Managing baggage flow for departing and arriving flights using sorting equipment and manual handling techniques effectively
- Flexibility to work across a 7-day roster, 24 hours a day
- Good physical fitness for lifting up to 32kg
- Ability to perform repetitive tasks for extended periods
- BASIC to INTERMEDIATE computer skills
- Thriving in a fast-paced environment with a strong emphasis on safety
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Australian Citizen / Resident with unlimited work rights
- Possession of a valid Australian driver's license (MIN P2) & reliable transportation
- Must be 18 years of age or older
