Classroom Teacher Role

Catholic Education Western Australia is seeking a dedicated and passionate Classroom Teacher to join their team on a fixed-term basis.

This is an opportunity to create a safe and engaging learning environment for students in Year 2, while being fully supportive of the objectives and ethos of Catholic education.

About the Role

The successful applicant will be responsible for creating a stimulating educational environment, implementing effective teaching strategies, and fostering positive relationships with students, parents, and colleagues.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Fully supportive of the objectives and ethos of Catholic education
  • Demonstrate an understanding of the Five Teacher Practices: Quality relationships, Learning design, Instructional range, Engagement, and Place, space and technology
  • An ability to collect, analyse and engage with student data to inform teaching and learning
  • Demonstrate the capability to work cooperatively and collaboratively and a willingness to participate in reflective practice
  • Have appropriate early childhood teaching qualifications, with knowledge of NQS, EYLF and play-based education
Qualifications:
  • Australian teacher registration
  • ECE qualifications
  • Necessary Accreditation requirements
  • Current Working with Children Card
