This is an exceptional opportunity to take on a challenging and rewarding leadership role in our electrical substation construction team. As a Substation Construction Manager, you will be responsible for coordinating and managing project field activities as specified by the Client, within a geographical area of the United Energy network.
Your key responsibilities will include:
- Coordinating and managing all construction activities within a zone substation (inclusive of High Voltage equipment, underground and overhead); focusing on safety and ensuring the project risks are identified and managed.
- Managing the day-to-day construction work and procurement activities, resource/application requirements, and project issues.
- Managing field resources in line with project organisation structure, ensuring that the projects are completed to Client's expectations – safely, on time, to approved scope, quality, and environmental standards.
- Managing internal and external stakeholder relations with sub-contractors, the client, and internal staff.
- Coordinating sub-contractors and the quality of their work.
- Providing accurate input into forecasting of the program resource and financial requirements.
- Assisting Project Manager & Estimators (as required) – scoping, bid tendering, cost estimation, and construction schedules.
