Haematology/Oncology Nurses

We are seeking experienced Haematology/Oncology Nurses to join a comprehensive oncology/haematology department and be part of an exceptionally patient-focused team who are passionate about providing individualized care.

You will care for and support patients through diagnosis and treatment of multiple types of cancers, and palliative care. You will work in partnership with our Haematologist oncologists in our Clinical Trials Unit to deliver excellence in patient care, with access to leading haematology/oncology treatments.

Key Responsibilities
  • Delivering high-quality nursing care and an exceptional patient experience within the Day Oncology Unit
  • Utilizing a reflective, critical thinking, and evidence-based approach to the clinical care of patients
  • Offering education and support to patients and their families
  • Role modeling empathy to patients, families, and the medical team
  • Ensuring patient flow is managed while providing high standards of patient care
Requirements
  • Current nursing registration with AHPRA
  • Previous experience in Haematology and/or Oncology nursing
  • Contemporary knowledge of best practice in cancer nursing care
  • Post Graduate qualifications in Oncology or be working towards (desirable)
  • Chemotherapy competency or a willingness to complete chemotherapy training and willingness to complete further advanced specialist skills training
  • Experience with Stem cell transplant skills would be highly valued
