Aged Care Financial Coordinator

The Aged Care Financial Coordinator will be responsible for maintaining and processing accounts receivable transactions and client billing.
Key responsibilities include:
- Processing accounts and incoming payments in compliance with financial policies and procedures.
- Performing day-to-day financial transactions, including verifying, classifying, computing, posting, and recording accounts receivable data.
- Preparing and processing all resident billing, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
- Reconciling the accounts receivable ledger to ensure all payments are accounted for and properly posted.
- Verifying discrepancies and resolving client billing issues, including client liaison.
- Facilitating payment of invoices by sending bill reminders and contacting clients (debt collection). Estate management and arrangement of refunds.
- Ensuring all resident movements are accurately recorded to enable the correct calculation of resident fees and charges.
- Generating financial statements and reports detailing accounts receivable status.
- Reconciling all expected funding to the monthly Medicare Payment Statements and following up on variances.
To be successful in this role, you will have:
- Knowledge of accounts receivable.
- Experience within aged care.
- Knowledge of basic accounting functions and software.
- Proficient use of technology, including MS Outlook, Excel, Aim, and Inerva.
- Ability to analyze and problem-solve issues autonomously.
- Proficient in data entry and management.
- 1-3 years' experience in accounts receivable or general accounting.
- Accuracy and attention to detail.
