About the Role

The Aged Care Financial Coordinator will be responsible for maintaining and processing accounts receivable transactions and client billing.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Processing accounts and incoming payments in compliance with financial policies and procedures.
  • Performing day-to-day financial transactions, including verifying, classifying, computing, posting, and recording accounts receivable data.
  • Preparing and processing all resident billing, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
  • Reconciling the accounts receivable ledger to ensure all payments are accounted for and properly posted.
  • Verifying discrepancies and resolving client billing issues, including client liaison.
  • Facilitating payment of invoices by sending bill reminders and contacting clients (debt collection). Estate management and arrangement of refunds.
  • Ensuring all resident movements are accurately recorded to enable the correct calculation of resident fees and charges.
  • Generating financial statements and reports detailing accounts receivable status.
  • Reconciling all expected funding to the monthly Medicare Payment Statements and following up on variances.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will have:

  • Knowledge of accounts receivable.
  • Experience within aged care.
  • Knowledge of basic accounting functions and software.
  • Proficient use of technology, including MS Outlook, Excel, Aim, and Inerva.
  • Ability to analyze and problem-solve issues autonomously.
  • Proficient in data entry and management.
  • 1-3 years' experience in accounts receivable or general accounting.
  • Accuracy and attention to detail.
