Defence Vehicle Inspector

About the Role:
Ventia, a leading infrastructure services company, seeks a skilled Defence Vehicle Inspector to join their Defence Maintenance Contract (DMC) team.
As a key member of the team, you will conduct meticulous inspections of Defence vehicles, ensuring they meet Defence regulatory standards and are safe for operation.
This is an exciting opportunity for a Heavy Vehicle Mechanic looking to transition from hands-on work to a role focused on vehicle inspections and safety compliance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain detailed inspection checklists.
- Conduct regular quality inspections of other employees' work against set standards and specifications.
- Schedule and perform maintenance tasks, including inspections, preventative servicing, fault diagnostics, and repairs on military vehicles and equipment.
- Assist with routine condition inspections, modifications, and upgrades on Defence vehicles.
Requirements:
- Certificate III in Heavy Road Transport Mechanical Technology or equivalent.
- Demonstrated experience working unsupervised on Heavy Commercial Vehicles.
- Current Australian HR Driver's Licence.
- Demonstrated ability to inspect, repair, and maintain Light, Medium, and Heavy vehicles to a medium level of repair (desirable).
