Job Title: Taxation Support Specialist
As a key member of our team, you will provide taxation support to ensure compliance and efficiency in our operations.
The primary responsibilities of this role include:
- Assisting in the preparation and assurance of platform processes and data required to complete client annual tax reporting;
- Supporting tax issues for Australian Operations, including all tax related matters for assets held in global markets;
- Completion of recording of tax events on the platform against client accounts;
- Reviewing procedures and controls for roles within the tax team, in line with audit requirements and applicable tax regulations;
- Communication with internal stakeholders on tax matters;
- Participating in project teams across FNZ on improvements to platforms;
- Maintaining accurate records of tax-related documents, correspondence, and filings;
- Preparing documentation and information for internal and external audits related to taxation;
- Communicating with tax authorities and responding to inquiries or requests for information;
- Providing support and training to staff on tax compliance procedures and policies;
- Identifying tax issues and developing solutions to manage and mitigate impact to business and clients;
- Preparing regular reports on tax obligations, compliance status, and key metrics for management review;

Key Requirements:
- Relevant degree in Accounting, Finance or Economic discipline (preferable);
- 5+ years' experience in financial services;
- Experience in a tax team of a Super and IDPS Administration Function, custodian or fund manager (preferable);
- Understanding of Australian tax legislation and regulations;
- High level of self-awareness and emotional intelligence, possessing strong communication skills;
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with ability to assess data from multiple angles;
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal;
- Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite (especially Excel).
