Job Title: Driller's Offsider

A physically demanding yet rewarding occupation involving work across Queensland, encompassing a range of tasks and responsibilities.

  • Listen to the Driller and follow their guidance.
  • Conduct daily pre-start equipment checks.
  • Complete necessary safety paperwork and processes.
  • Assist with routine rig/machine/equipment/tool maintenance and cleaning.
  • Load and unload heavy vehicles.
  • Assist in setting up/dismantling/moving rigs and associated equipment.
  • Manual handling of drill rods/sample bags/core trays etc.
Key Requirements:
  • Background in a labour-intensive role (e.g. concreting, farming, plumbing, bricklaying, general labouring).
  • Previous FIFO mining experience in any role.
  • Cert II or willingness to obtain.

Serious physical and mental fitness is essential to succeed as an Offsider. This role involves extensive manual labouring, requiring ability to cope with confined spaces, dust, and other environmental challenges.
