Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced Senior Frontend PHY IC Design Engineer to join our team. As a key member of the engineering team, you will be responsible for designing and developing cutting-edge Wi-Fi chips that enable the Internet of Things (IoT).

The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of IEEE 802.11 PHY Layer and experience working with digital, systems, and firmware teams to architect and verify the PHY. You will also have expertise in designing and integrating an IEEE 802.11ah PHY for use in Wi-Fi chips.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Designing and integrating an IEEE 802.11ah PHY for use in Wi-Fi chips
  • Collaborating with the digital, systems, and firmware teams to achieve optimal performance
  • Developing digital PHY architecture and DSP design suitable for 802.11 protocols on advanced low-power process nodes
Requirements:

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • Bachelor's, Master's, or Ph.D. in Electrical / Electronics / Communication Engineering or Computer Science
  • 3+ years experience as a PHY IC Design Engineer
  • Strong understanding of digital signal processing (DSP) with emphasis on HW implementation
  • Proven experience developing multiple DSP blocks in complex SoCs
  • Knowledge of IEEE 802.11 PHY layer and familiarity with 802.11ah
  • Hands-on experience with Cadence or Synopsys simulation suite
