Medical Registrar Opportunity in Acute Care

The Royal Hobart Hospital offers a comprehensive range of medical services including trauma, intensive care, coronary care, burns treatment unit, hyperbaric medicine unit, acute stroke unit, psychiatry, obstetrics & gynaecology, and paediatrics.

As the largest inpatient medical unit at the hospital, our Department of General and Acute Care Medicine provides opportunities for RACP-accredited Basic Physician Training. Our medical registrar positions offer a supportive environment with experienced physicians throughout the hospital.

We pride ourselves on a structured training programme that includes 5 hours of paid teaching time per week as part of our comprehensive BPT program.

This role requires:

  • General or limited registration with the Medical Board of Australia
  • Current Working with Children Registration (where applicable)
