Auxiliary Firefighter: A Critical Role in Community Safety and Emergency Preparedness


Job Description

As an auxiliary firefighter, you will be part of a dynamic team that plays a vital role in ensuring community safety and emergency preparedness. The team responds to fire and other emergency incidents, promotes community education, and develops competencies through regular drills and training courses.


Key Responsibilities
  • Respond to emergency incidents and fires as part of a team
  • Promote community safety and emergency preparedness through educational activities
  • Develop and maintain competencies through regular drills and training courses
  • Maintain attendance standards for emergency incidents and training sessions

Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Employer's written consent to attend incidents and emergencies
  • Live or work within a reasonable distance of the auxiliary fire station
  • Australian Permanent Resident Status
  • Manual C Class driver's licence
