Electronic Trades Equipment Specialist

A key role is available for an Electronic Trades Equipment Specialist with experience in electronic systems maintenance and repair. This is a full-time ongoing position working 38 hours per week based in Lindfield.

The successful candidate will be responsible for performing routine inspections, maintenance, and calibration of electronic systems, including pool pumps, filtration systems, chemical controllers, and temperature control devices.

  • Diagnose and repair electronic equipment malfunctions promptly to minimize downtime, focusing on electrical, electronic, and control system issues.
  • Assist in the installation of new electronic equipment or upgrades to existing systems, ensuring compliance with safety standards and regulations.
  • Monitor and analyze data from electronic systems to ensure water quality parameters (e.g., pH, chlorine levels) are within acceptable ranges. Take corrective actions as necessary.
  • Maintain accurate records of maintenance and repair activities, equipment manuals, and inventory of spare parts. Prepare reports on equipment status and performance.
  • Adhere to safety protocols and guidelines to ensure a safe working environment. Identify potential hazards and take preventive measures.
  • Provide training and guidance to pool staff on the proper use and maintenance of electronic equipment to promote efficiency and safety.
  • Manage inventory levels of electronic components and spare parts to ensure availability for maintenance and repairs.
  • Respond promptly to equipment failures or emergencies to minimize disruption to pool operations.

For this position, we require at least 3 years of work experience in electronic related equipment, preferably in electronics maintenance or repair. A background in electronics maintenance or repair, preferably in a pool or aquatic facility setting, is essential. Additionally, knowledge of electrical systems, electronic components, and control systems is required.

Key qualifications include strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills, ability to work independently and as part of a team, and effective communication skills. The ideal candidate will have prior experience in electronics maintenance or repair and knowledge of relevant safety regulations and guidelines.
