Job Description

We are seeking a skilled and experienced professional to fill the position of Associate Nurse Unit Manager. The successful candidate will work in partnership with the Nurse Unit Manager to provide clinical leadership and ensure that person-centred care is planned, implemented, evaluated, and maintained at a high standard.

The role involves acting as a professional and clinical role model for all staff, setting clinical standards, and achieving high-quality evidence-based nursing care. This requires advanced clinical knowledge and skills, as well as the ability to undertake administrative operations and accept responsibility and accountability for designated management portfolios and projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide clinical leadership and support to nursing staff
  • Develop and implement strategies to improve patient outcomes and satisfaction
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to achieve shared goals
  • Manage and coordinate resources to meet service demands
Requirements

To be considered for this position, applicants must have:

  • A relevant degree in nursing or a related field
  • Current registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia
  • Significant experience in a similar role, preferably in a hospital setting
  • Demonstrated expertise in clinical leadership, quality improvement, and project management
