Job Title: RF Communications Specialist

A critical role in our organisation's engineering team, we are seeking a skilled RF communications specialist with significant experience in designing and delivering private telecommunications networks into the mining and resource industry.

The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing technical solutions to address network issues, collaborating with key stakeholders to identify solutions for new service additions, and managing and maintaining standard documentation and specifications.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and deliver private telecommunications networks into the mining and resource industry.
  • Work as part of multidisciplinary engineering teams to deliver complex communications projects.
  • Prepare and review technical design documentation.
  • Manage and maintain standard documentation and specifications.
  • Design, develop and implement technical solutions to address network issues.
  • Diagnose and resolve serious service incidents, including hardware and software faults.
Requirements:
  • Minimum 5 years' experience in mission-critical communication and operational technologies in the mining and oil and gas industry.
  • Extensive knowledge of design, configuration, commission, testing, integration and validation of transmission/microwave/voice mobile radio in the mining and oil and gas sector.
  • Experience using root cause analysis techniques to troubleshoot and solve network issues.
  • Ability to document and report design solutions and review design deliverables.
Qualifications and Certifications:
  • Bachelor degree or higher in Telecommunications or Electronic Engineering or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum 5 years' experience in the design of mission-critical communication and operational technologies.
