Job Overview:

ISS is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Aviation Training Officer to join our team at Brisbane Airport. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for conducting training and assessment activities for internal training programs, overseeing day-to-day operations on site, and delivering internal face-to-face training in accordance with set timeframes and schedules.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct training and assessment activities for internal training programs
  • Oversee day-to-day operations on site and ensure correct procedures are followed
  • Deliver internal face-to-face training in accordance with set timeframes and schedules
  • Notify relevant stakeholders of training and/or assessment outcomes
  • Deliver excellent customer service and positive communication to all trainees
  • Perform all other reasonable tasks as directed by the Training Coordinator or Training Manager

Requirements:

  • Certificate IV Workplace Assessment and Training (TAE40116 or equivalent)
  • Certificate II in Transport Security Protection (can be provided internally if not already held)
  • Relevant screening experience to meet RTO requirements as a trainer/assessor
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively lead a team
  • Excellent communication skills – both written and verbal
  • Previous experience in aviation or security screening highly desired
  • Sound reporting history/performance record as a workplace mentor
  • Compliance and safety focused attitude
  • Participate in training or assessment development
  • A positive and proactive approach with outstanding interpersonal skills
