Join Our Culinary Team

We are seeking a talented Commis Chef to join our team. As a key member of our culinary staff, you will be responsible for preparing and presenting high-quality dishes in our Riverside Kitchen.

  1. Prepare a wide range of dishes, including à la carte, buffet, and banquets, ensuring consistency and presentation standards meet our high expectations.
  2. Take ownership of your workstation, managing supplies, equipment, and waste efficiently, adhering to mise en place and service requirements.
  3. Maintain exceptional cleanliness levels throughout the kitchen, exceeding local and HACCP standards.
  4. Work effectively in a fast-paced environment while prioritizing attention to detail and quality.
  5. Contribute innovative ideas to menu development, daily specials, and new dish concepts.
  6. Collaborate closely with fellow chefs, demi chef, and sous chef to ensure seamless kitchen operations.

Our ideal candidate has:

  • A minimum 1-2 years' experience working in a professional kitchen, preferably within a dynamic environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage a section independently or under minimal supervision.
  • A genuine passion for food, quality, and continuous learning.
  • The capacity to maintain composure during peak periods.
  • Flexibility to work non-traditional hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
  • Good understanding of food safety and hygiene practices.
  • Relevant qualifications such as Certificate III in Commercial Cookery.
