About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Commissioning Manager (High Voltage) to lead the planning, delivery, and integration of testing, commissioning, entry into service, and asset acceptance of all project elements, including civil, electrical, earthing, mechanical, communications, and control systems.

Key Responsibilities

  • Ensure the project fully implements the requirements of Laing O'Rourke's Health, Safety, and Environmental Management System and provides leadership for the Behavioural Based Safety initiative.
  • Lead the planning, delivery, and integration of testing, commissioning, entry into service, and asset acceptance of all project elements.
  • Develop and approve related project testing, pre-commissioning, and commissioning documentation for each discipline, including vendor-supplied major equipment.
  • Develop material and lead training for operations and maintenance teams to ensure operator competence at handover.
  • Verify commissioning resources as competent for tasks undertaken.
  • Ensure commissioning activities are completed in a timely manner and in accordance with project milestones.
  • Interface with internal and external stakeholders, including energy regulators, asset operations, and maintenance teams.

About You

  • Tertiary qualification in Engineering (Electrical/Mechanical preferred).
  • Previous experience in a similar leadership role involving switchyards and transmission lines.
  • Individual discipline testing and commissioning experience in energy transmission projects.
  • Working on multi-disciplined projects.
