Pipe Alderman is a leading commercial law firm that provides high-quality legal solutions to clients across Australia and internationally. We are seeking an experienced lawyer to join our team as a Regulatory Financial Advisor.

This role will involve working closely with our financial services clients, including banks and credit unions, to resolve customer disputes and enforce loans and mortgages nationally.

  • You will work closely with our senior lawyers to advise clients on various types of customer defaults and exercise their rights in relation to security.
  • Initiate and prosecute enforcement proceedings nationally.
  • Represent clients in third-party Court proceedings affecting security.
  • Resolve customer complaints and matters before the Australian Financial Complaints Authority (AFCA).
  • Negotiate with clients' customers and their representatives and liaise with relevant authorities.
  • Provide advice on loan and mortgage enforcement regulatory compliance.
  • Contribute to the development of client service solutions.

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • 2+ years post-qualification experience in commercial, financial services or litigation practice.
  • Demonstrate technical excellence and strong analytical skills.
  • Identify and evaluate commercial and legal risk.
  • Excellent written, drafting and verbal communication skills.
  • High attention to detail and self-motivation.
  • Excellent time management skills.
