Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Student Support Role

This is an exciting opportunity to work in a dynamic educational environment committed to the successes of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander students.

The successful candidate will be a team-oriented, customer-focused individual who is highly organised and passionate about working with community. They will have a strong understanding of the challenges faced by Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander students and be committed to supporting them to overcome barriers and achieve their goals.

Key responsibilities of the role include:

  • Providing support and guidance to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander students to help them succeed in their studies;
  • Working collaboratively with other staff members to develop and implement programs and services that meet the needs of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander students;
  • Developing and maintaining relationships with local Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities to promote awareness and engagement with CIT's programs and services;

Required skills and qualifications include:

  • Current driver's licence;
  • Prior to commencing this role, a current registration issued under the Working with Vulnerable People (Background Checking) Act 2011 is required;
  • Confirmation of Aboriginality and/or Torres Strait Islander Certificate;
