About the Role:



We are seeking a motivated and responsible Steward to join our team at The Star Brisbane. As a Steward, you will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and organization of our Food and Beverage outlets, ensuring seamless operation of our services.



Key Responsibilities:




  • Manage the use and storage of chemicals at all times
  • Manage waste materials ensuring recycling is adhered to
  • Maintain and operate operational equipment including dishwasher, utensils and glassware
  • Assisting in set up and preparation for events and banquets


Requirements:




  • Can-do team attitude while upholding The Star values
  • Sound knowledge of or ability to learn food safety regulations
  • Flexible availability to work on a rotating roster that can include early mornings and overnight shifts
  • Self-motivation and flexibility to work individually and as a team as required
  • Ability to focus and prioritise several tasks


About You:



Experience in kitchen environments is desirable, but not essential. We are looking for motivated candidates who can work within a team environment. In this role, you will learn and develop an understanding of OH&S standards and take pride in supporting the teams to ensure all areas are kept clean and tidy.
