About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Legal Advisor to join our team at Penrith City Council. As a key member of our Legal Services department, you will provide expert legal advice and representation to Council staff on a range of legal areas related to Council's operations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide high-quality legal advice and representation to Council staff
  • Ensure the delivery of high-quality legal services to the organisation
  • Manage and maintain accurate records of legal matters
  • Develop and implement effective legal strategies to support Council's operations
Requirements
  • Admitted as a solicitor in the Supreme Court of NSW
  • Bachelor of Laws Degree
  • Experience in Local Government and Planning Law
  • Experience appearing as an advocate before Courts and Tribunals in planning and local government matters
  • Experience in preparing and reviewing contracts and providing professional advice
  • Ability to meet time constraints and work under pressure
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
