About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Driver Trainer to join our team at McColl's Transport. As a Driver Trainer, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safety and compliance of our drivers and fleet operations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Driver Training and Development: Design and deliver comprehensive training programs for new and existing drivers, focusing on safety, compliance, and best practices.
  • Competency Assessments: Conduct regular competency assessments to ensure drivers meet the required standards for safe and efficient operations.
  • Compliance and Risk Management: Monitor and maintain compliance with regulatory requirements, including COR, NHVAS, BFM, and Mass Management accreditation systems.
  • Training and Development Programs: Develop and implement training programs to enhance driver skills and knowledge, including in-cab driver tablet training and other specialized training programs.
  • Documentation and Reporting: Maintain accurate records and reports on training activities, competency assessments, and compliance monitoring.
Requirements
  • Qualifications: Certificate IV or Diploma in Workplace Training and Assessment (TAE40116 or TAE40110).
  • Experience: Demonstrated experience in handling workplace-based training programs in a similar role.
  • Skills: Strong customer focus, excellent verbal and written communication skills, ability to self-manage workloads and prioritize tasks, and high level of computer literacy.
  • Personal Qualities: Passion for safety, strong work ethic, and ability to work within a team environment and autonomously.
