Aircraft Maintenance Engineer - Structures

At Airbus, we are seeking a highly skilled Aircraft Maintenance Engineer - Structures to join our team in Darwin. As a key member of our maintenance function, you will be responsible for performing aviation maintenance activities to meet the needs of Airbus Australia Pacific and their customers.

The role

As a Structures Aircraft Maintenance Engineer, you will be utilising your skills, experience, and knowledge to undertake maintenance activities in accordance with relevant regulations, Maintenance Organisation Exposition (MOE), and all other maintenance procedures as laid out within authorised Airbus procedures, relevant aircraft maintenance manuals, and Defence documentation.

To be successful in this role, you will need to live the Airbus Values, work with passion and determination, and be able to work to tight deadlines in an environment of continuous improvement. The skills and experience suited to this role include:

  • Diploma Aeroskills (Structures) or equivalent issued by a Registered Training Organisation
  • High-Level aviation airworthiness regulatory knowledge and its applicability in the relevant environment
  • Understanding of relevant aircraft maintenance documentation and practices
  • Experience in an Approved Maintenance Organisation (AMO) environment
  • Knowledge of and experience using Interactive Electronic Technical Publications (IETP)
  • Have obtained, in the judgement of the relevant Responsible Manager and the Company, sufficient experience on type to support a successful application for maintenance task authorisation at the appropriate level
  • Demonstrated commitment to safety, quality, and customer satisfaction
