We are seeking experienced and passionate Personal Care Assistants to join our dedicated team at Catholic Healthcare. As part of our multi-disciplinary team, you will create a safe and supportive environment for our residents, providing high-quality care that enables them to achieve maximum independence.

About the Role:

This is a full-time position, working shifts across weekdays and weekends, with a minimum annual salary of $70,000. You will be responsible for providing resident personal care, including assisting with personal hygiene, showering, dressing, toileting, and mobility support.

Your Key Responsibilities:

  • ">
  • Provide direct resident care, ensuring the highest standards of personal care and dignity;">
  • Assist residents with daily living activities, such as bathing, dressing, and using the bathroom;">
  • Support residents with meals, snacks, and hydration, promoting healthy eating habits and social interaction;">
  • Enhance the resident experience through building strong relationships and responding promptly to their needs;">
  • Promote independence and confidence in residents, encouraging them to participate in leisure and lifestyle activities;">
  • Maintain accurate records and reports, adhering to regulatory requirements and organizational policies;">
  • Collaborate with the Registered Nurse on duty to ensure seamless care delivery and effective communication;">
  • Participate in professional development opportunities, staying up-to-date with industry best practices and advancements;">
  • Contribute to a positive and respectful work environment, fostering a culture of compassion, empathy, and inclusivity;">
  • Fulfill pre-employment checks, including an NDIS worker screening check, and maintain ongoing compliance with organizational requirements;">

About You:

To succeed in this role, you will possess:

">
  • ">
  • A Certificate III or IV in Individual Support (Ageing) or equivalent qualification;">
  • Minimum 1 year of experience as a Personal Care Assistant in a Residential Aged Care home;">
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with residents, colleagues, and families;">
  • A commitment to respecting the values, customs, preferences, and spiritual beliefs of residents;">
  • Flexibility and adaptability, with a willingness to work varying shifts, including weekends and public holidays;">
  • The ability to provide evidence of Covid Vaccinations and undergo regular health screenings;">
  • A willingness to obtain NDIS clearance and adhere to organizational requirements;">
  • Strong time-management and prioritization skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines effectively;">
  • Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of workplace health and safety principles and protocols;">
  • Able to work independently and collaboratively as part of a multi-disciplinary team;">
