Ventia Pty partners with the Department of Transport and Main Roads to deliver infrastructure projects in Southeast Queensland.

About the role:

We are seeking an experienced engineer to join our dynamic team. As a key member, you will play a vital part in delivering multi-disciplinary projects, providing technical advice, coordinating activities, and driving project performance.

This is a 6-month contract starting as soon as possible. Depending on the project, you may be based in Staplton or on site. There may be a requirement to work night shift due to the nature of the works for certain projects.

Main Responsibilities:

  1. Liaison and coordination:
    • Act as a point of contact for contractors, ensuring smooth project timelines.
    • Coordinate with subcontractors, addressing scheduling and project challenges.
  2. Project planning and control:
    • Develop detailed schedules and forecasts to meet project milestones.
    • Monitor progress and flag variances for timely resolution.
  3. Documentation and filing:
    • Maintain well-organized project files and records.
    • Regularly update the project management system with the latest approvals and developments.
  4. Site activities and awareness:
    • Participate in medium-scale site activities to gain practical, hands-on experience.
    • Conduct site visits to monitor progress and ensure alignment with project plans.
