About the Role

Suncorp is seeking a skilled Event Assessor to join our Claims team. As an Event Assessor, you will play a critical role in accurately assessing property damage and determining claim quantum and scope under the relevant policies.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assess property loss or damage, determine policy coverage, and work closely with builders and suppliers to determine reserves within delegation levels.
  • Communicate clearly and accurately with stakeholders, including customers, Client Managers, and Repairers, to provide timely and professional service.
  • Support Client Managers in identifying customer resolution strategies to minimize escalations and ensure customer satisfaction.
  • Determine an appropriate claim fulfillment method that balances customer needs with business outcomes.
  • Identify customers experiencing vulnerability and take appropriate action to ensure their support.
  • Respond to customer and stakeholder requests within expected timeframes.
Requirements
  • Industry qualifications, such as the ANZIF Diploma of Loss Adjusting, or relevant experience.
  • Previous assessing experience, preferably in the insurance industry.
  • Proven performer in customer service roles, with a focus on delivering excellent service and results.
