Pastoral Care Volunteer

As a compassionate volunteer, you have the opportunity to make a positive impact on the lives of elderly individuals living in their homes. By providing emotional support and spiritual care, you can help alleviate feelings of loneliness and isolation.

This rewarding role involves working closely with a local Christian church to support the spiritual and emotional needs of clients. As a pastoral care volunteer, you will be actively involved in supplementing and complementing the work of our HammondCare At Home Pastoral Care Coordinator.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Supporting people to meet their spiritual needs

To be successful in this role, you will require:

  • High level of interpersonal skills, including strong empathy and listening skills
  • Pastoral Care training or experience in chaplaincy, clinical pastoral education, or similar field

By volunteering as a pastoral care worker, you can make a real difference in the lives of others while also gaining valuable experience and skills. Regular visits from volunteers can help to improve quality of life and reduce feelings of isolation.
