Lycopodium is seeking a highly motivated Procurement Specialist to join our team in Perth.

We offer a competitive salary of approximately $80,000 - $100,000 per annum, depending on experience, plus excellent benefits and career growth opportunities.

Job Description

The Procurement Specialist will play a key role in supporting the procurement, purchasing, expediting, cost control, and transport and logistics functions for various projects. The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Planning, coordinating, monitoring, and reporting progress of all activities required for timely issue of enquiries, tender evaluation, and award of purchase orders.
  • Working closely with internal and external stakeholders to secure optimal prices and deliveries for equipment to meet project technical, schedule, and commercial requirements.
  • Carrying out commercial analysis and evaluation of quotations to enable the correct supplier choice to be made.
  • Developing and maintaining an effective vendor data (including manuals) and goods tracking system both on a company-wide and on a project-specific basis.
  • Reviewing all orders to ensure details are in accordance with the original tender request and client-approved ATC.
  • Assisting with the sourcing of general items as required for office and site operations.

The ideal candidate will have:

  • A degree in a related field, or circa 2 years' experience in procurement, expediting, and/or logistics disciplines, ideally within the engineering or construction industries.
  • High-level negotiating and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong computer skills with well-developed knowledge of the Microsoft Office suite, and ability to navigate various computerized systems.
  • Excellent attention to detail, ability to work with minimal supervision, and demonstrated experience in following issues through from identification to resolution.
  • Well-developed communication skills and ability to build effective relationships with numerous stakeholders across all business units.
