About the Role:
We are seeking an experienced and skilled Executive Chef to join our team at Compass Group Australia. As a key member of our culinary team, you will be responsible for managing our buffet-style bulk cooking operations, ensuring high standards of food hygiene, safety, and quality.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead a team of chefs, kitchen utilities, and dining room employees to deliver exceptional culinary experiences.
- Develop and implement menus that meet the needs of our clients and employees.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant health and safety regulations, including OH&S and HACCP guidelines.
- Manage catering controls, minimize wastage, and maintain high standards of food quality.
- Develop and implement training programs to enhance the skills and knowledge of the catering team.
- Collaborate with the client to understand their needs and preferences.
- Ensure all kitchen procedures and operations are in line with Compass Group Australia's standards.
Requirements:
- Cert III in Commercial Cookery or equivalent.
- Minimum 3 years of experience as a Head Chef or equivalent.
- Proven track record of leading a team and delivering high-quality culinary experiences.
- Experience in bulk catering environments and remote sites.
- Excellent knowledge of kitchen procedures, operations, and safety protocols.
- Ability to develop and implement menus, manage budgets, and control stock.
- Strong leadership and communication skills.
