About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Environmental Specialist to join our team in Perth. As a key member of our WA Iron Ore team, you will be responsible for supporting our Operational team to deliver strong environmental performance. You will work closely with our Environment Superintendent Systems and Governance to implement Asset-wide systems, processes, governance, and plans.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage the Environmental Legal and Obligations Register.
  • Manage the Environmental Data Management system.
  • Assist with the identification, design, and continuous improvement of Asset-level environmental standards, systems, and procedures.
  • Contribute to maintaining and improving the Environmental Management System (EMS).
  • Provide technical advice, coaching, and support to internal and external personnel.
  • Coordinate and execute internal and external audits.
  • Provide support to site-based environment specialists and superintendents.
  • Assist with the execution of relevant internal and external environmental reporting.

About You

We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced Environmental Specialist with a strong understanding of State and Federal Environmental Approvals. You will have a tertiary qualification in Environmental Science, Engineering, or equivalent. You will be able to coordinate large-scale audits for our mining operations and work both independently and as part of a team. You will have excellent communication, interpersonal, negotiation, and facilitation skills.
