Finance and Accounting Job Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced Finance and Accounting professional to join our team in Melbourne.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide management accounting services to clients, including financial reporting and analysis, budgeting and forecasting, and financial planning and advice.
  • Assist in the preparation of financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements, and ensure compliance with GAAP and tax regulations.
  • Manage the general ledger, including accounts payable and accounts receivable, and ensure accurate and timely processing of financial transactions.
  • Process payroll, including expense reimbursement management and preparation of pay slips and related documents.
  • Prepare and lodge periodic superannuation and payroll tax reporting and payments.
  • Assist in the preparation of financial information and reports for accountants, on a monthly and quarterly basis.
  • Support clients in the transition to automated cloud software systems.
  • Prepare monthly financial reports covering balance sheet, profit and loss, and cash flow statements.
  • Manage the general ledger, including banking and inter-company reconciliations, and ensure accurate and timely processing of financial transactions.

Requirements:

  • Strong attention to detail and analytical skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment and manage multiple priorities.
  • Strong knowledge of GAAP and tax regulations, including payroll tax and superannuation.
  • Experience in management accounting and financial reporting, preferably in a similar role.
  • Proficiency in MS Office and cloud accounting software, including Xero, MYOB, and Fathom.
