The George C Patton Fellowship in Adolescent Health and Wellbeing offers a unique opportunity for an early career researcher to join our team at the University of Melbourne. This three-year position provides a chance to develop your skills and expertise in adolescent health research.

You will be based at the Centre for Adolescent Health, where you will collaborate with leading researchers and institutions to advance knowledge in adolescent health. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Developing and implementing a research project in adolescent health, with a focus on advancing knowledge and informing policy.
  • Engaging with key stakeholders to secure funding and resources for your research project.
  • Contributing to knowledge transfer by participating in teaching activities and collaborating with colleagues.
  • Collaborating with academic communities and participating in staff development activities.

To be successful in this role, you will possess:

  • A PhD in a relevant field within the last 5 years, with research, public health, or clinical training relevant to adolescent health.
  • Practical experience in adolescent health, such as public health, medicine, education, or advocacy.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • A strong commitment to improving adolescent health outcomes.
