Senior Biosecurity Officer

Job Summary:

The Senior Biosecurity Officer will play a key role in ensuring the effective and efficient delivery of biosecurity preparedness plans. This includes contributing to team tasks, undertaking risk-based decision making, and providing information and advice to local stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Contribute positively to group tasks and provide guidance to new or inexperienced colleagues as relevant.
  • Independently and consistently undertake risk-based decision making within all activities, including associated documentation and record keeping.
  • Undertake clearly defined activities as part of a team to achieve effective and efficient delivery of preparedness plans.
  • Provide information, advice, and assistance to local stakeholders relating to biosecurity emergency responses.

  • Manage work priorities effectively, ensuring assigned tasks are undertaken promptly and meet deliverables.
