Job Title:

Heavy Equipment Assembler

Job Description:

We are seeking experienced Heavy Equipment Assemblers to join our team on the HumeLink project. The successful candidates will assemble and install rigging gear, including ropes, cables, pulleys, and winches, to position structural steel and other heavy materials for the construction of transmission network infrastructure.

The HumeLink project is a joint venture between two companies, engaged by Transgrid to deliver the expansion of the existing Bannaby 500 kV substation, along with the design and construction of a new 500 kV double circuit transmission line.

Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • A High Risk Work Licence (Rigger Intermediate and/or Advanced)
  • Successfully completed UETDRT0016 - Installing Transmission Line Steel or equivalent, OR
  • Can perform duties as installing Transmission Line Steel (assisting overhead transmission lines personnel)
Benefits:

  • Salaries vary based on roster arrangements
  • Additional allowances apply per the Enterprise Agreement
Others:

Workers will be engaged on a 21/7 roster and provided with camp accommodation. Camps are located in Yass and Adjungbilly. Facilities include dry and wet mess rooms, wellness support, gym, and open areas for outdoor activities.
