The successful candidate will be accountable for maintaining the building and grounds, with a focus on safety, security, and asset protection.
Key Responsibilities- Assist in planning, scheduling, and evaluating preventative maintenance programs to ensure optimal equipment performance and minimize downtime.
- Help establish priorities for total property maintenance needs, ensuring that guest satisfaction and operational efficiency are met.
- Supervise the day-to-day operations of Engineering, including the management of staff and contractors.
- Assist in managing the physical plant, including equipment, refrigeration, HVAC, plumbing, water treatment, electrical, and life safety systems.
- Maintain and operate equipment at optimum effectiveness, efficiency, and safety.
- Supervise the distribution of repair work orders and ensure timely completion.
- Assist in maintaining grounds, meeting rooms, ballrooms, public space, restaurants, property vehicles, and recreational facilities as needed.
- Act as a technical liaison for all departments in property, providing expert advice and guidance.
- Supervise Engineering in the absence of the Director of Engineering.
- Recommend or arrange for additional services such as painting, repair work, renovations, and the replacement of furnishings and equipment.
- Select and make purchases of new equipment, supplies, and furnishings.
- Inspect and evaluate the physical condition of facilities to determine the type of work required.
- Manage parts, supplies, and equipment inventories effectively, minimizing downtime and maximizing cash flow.
- Perform inspections effectively, identifying areas for improvement and implementing corrective actions.
- Assist in evaluating and implementing new technologies, equipment, and supplies to enhance operational efficiency.
- Assist in establishing and implementing an energy conservation program to reduce costs and minimize environmental impact.
