We are seeking a highly skilled Electrical Distribution Engineer to join our team.

This role is ideal for individuals with a passion for designing and developing electrical overhead and underground distribution systems.

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Developing design and construction work packages for electrical overhead and underground distribution systems operating from 4kV through 138kV
  • Ensuring compliance with company and client safety requirements as well as design and quality expectations
  • Performing engineering calculations including structural analysis for wood pole loading, guying calculations, specifying conductor sags and tensions for recommended spans, and calculation of voltage drop and flicker
  • Developing permitting documents for different Authorities Having Jurisdiction (AHJs)
  • Providing engineering support during construction, including post-construction reviews to ensure all applicable engineering and construction standards have been met
  • Conducting root cause analysis of outages and mitigation using engineering principles and design
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Bachelor of Science in Engineering discipline (Electrical, Mechanical, Civil, or Industrial) from an Accreditation Board for Engineering and Technology (ABET) accredited institution
  • Computer Aided Design (CAD) tools experience
  • Strong written, verbal and interpersonal communications skills
